FUNERAL SERVICES FOR FIREFIGHTERS
Special services can be requested for firefighters who fall in or outside of the line of duty. From active-duty firefighters to retirees, all of those who have sacrificed and risked their lives for the protection of others deserve to be honored. At Hutchison Funeral Home, we are here to help you celebrate the life of your loved one. For firefighters, this means optional services upon request. We’ll help you put together a funeral service that perfectly matches your vision.
Firefighter funerals typically include the presence of a color guard as well as fire personnel in uniform. If this is something you would like to include for your loved one, please let us know.
The following optional services are also available for a firefighter funeral:
- Badge shroud
- Bagpiper
- Bell Service
- Bugler (live performance or recording)
- Fire engine caisson
- Station or vehicle bunting
Upon request, we can also work with a florist to put together specialty arrangements in the design of your choice. Common designs include the Maltese cross, the deceased’s department patch or logo, a broken rung ladder, a crossed pike pole and axe, or a firefighter helmet.
